Kai the Hitchhiker, the oddball who gained online fame this year following a random act of heroism and a tremendous local TV interview, is wanted for murder.<br />
Union County law enforcement has issued a warrant for him for the murder of Joseph Galfy, Jr., in Clark, N.J., the Union County Prosecutor's Office says.<br />
Galfy was reportedly found dead inside his home on May 13.<br />

Kai is said to have cut his hair to conceal his identity, and was last seen at a rail station near Haddonfield, N.J. He is officially a murder suspect.<br />

Back in February, McGillvary, a.k.a. Kai, was passing through Fresno, Calif., when he stumbled into an alarming situation - and quasi-celeb status.<br />
Kai saw a man attack a utility worker with a car and assault a woman at a gas station, after which he hit the man with a hatchet to stop the attack.<br />
His interview shortly thereafter (above) was a viral sensation.<br />
Basically, he was Charles Ramsey before Charles Ramsey, but Antoine Dodson was Kai before Kai was Kai. Okay, that made absolutely no sense.<br />
Anyway, Kai videos have been viewed millions of times, making the apparent dark turn in McGillvary's once-great story all the more shocking.<br />
Sadly, we don't foresee this ending well.<br />

The whole world's been upset. That's one of the reasons we have wars," he went on.<br />"These alcohol-fueled, fear-fueled, oil-based wars. If you let the potheads take over, which we're doing, we're the meek that will inherit the world."<br />That's one way to look at it. Suzanna Simpson, S.C. Mom: OK, OK, I Shot My Whole Family: <br />Suzanna Simpson, a South Carolina woman, has been charged with shooting and killing her two young children and seriously wounding her husband.<br />She told authorities she wanted to kill herself too, but "just couldn't."<br /><div style="margin: 0 auto 10px; max-width: 456px; text-align: center;"><br /><img alt="Suzanna, Kids" src="http://images.thehollywoodgossip.com/iu/t_xlarge_l/v1368708807/attachment/suzanna-kids.jpg" /></div><br />Simpson herself was found hurt in a wrecked pickup truck outside her family's home in Pickens County, S.C., around 6 a.m. Tuesday, deputies said.<br />She told concerned paramedics "OK, OK, I shot my whole family."<br />This sent officers rushing toward the house, authorities said.<br /><a href="http://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a><br />Inside, Simpson's 5-year-old son Sawyer and her 7-year-old daughter Carly were found dead in their beds. Her 34-year-old husband Michael was wounded.<br />He remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.<br />Deputies are still trying to figure out what happened and why Simpson decided to shoot her family, Pickens County Sheriff Rick Clark told the media.<br />"I can tell you honestly that we have no idea at this time," he said.<br />Simpson has been charged with two counts of murder and attempted murder. She is also at the hospital, but police won't say how badly she's injured.<br />She appeared to be talking right after she arrived.<br />A nurse told investigators that she said, "I shot my kids, then my husband, and tried to shoot myself several times, but couldn't do it," arrest warrants state.<br />It isn't known if Simpson has an attorney or when she will be in court, but many more details regarding what happened will likely be revealed then.

"We go after the popular kids. A lot of people don’t belong [in our clothes], and they can’t belong. Are we exclusionary? Understand that I'm not going away. I'm not going to be silenced for money."<br />Asked to describe his feelings about the late music icon, who died in 2009 and who Wade says abused him from ages 7-14, Robson said this:<br />“Heartbreak, pain, anger and compassion. He was a troubled man. He was many things. He was very talented. Grazer and production president Kim Roth called the film a close cousin to the search for genius depicted in <i>8 Mile</i>, only here it’s a dirt-poor kid’s journey from being part of the Shoeless Wonders (a band of soccer wunderkinds too poor to afford shoes) to a phenom who at 17 led Brazil to the World Cup. Grazer and his partners will have the film ready by the time the world is whipped into a frenzy for World Cup action next year.<br /><a href="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/fnl__130516134458.jpg" rel="nofollow"><img alt="" height="171" src="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/fnl__130516134458-275x171.jpg" title="fnl" width="275" /></a>* While they’ve temporarily halted the move to turn Jack Bauer loose in a<i> 24</i> feature, they’ve instead decided to bring him back in a limited series, this after selling an <i>Arrested Development</i> revival directly to Netflix. Grazer tells me they are absolutely moving forward with a movie version of another Imagine series,<i> Friday Night Lights</i>, and they will likely use crowdfunding to directly tap the rabid fan base of that drama for some of the budget. “We made a terrific feature with Pete Berg, turned it into a terrific TV series and will now make a movie from that series,” Grazer said. “I’m not sure such a thing has been done before.”<br />* <a href="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/thief__130516134623.jpg" rel="nofollow"><img alt="" height="229" src="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/thief__130516134623.jpg" title="thief" width="160" /></a>A year after starting the Imagine Reliance Writer’s Lab program and enlisted nine writers to work on scripts and collectively trade ideas to help cohorts the way TV scribes do, Imagine and partner Reliance have 15 make-able scripts they are setting up. One is in production — the Philippe Falardeu-directed <i>The Good Lie</i> with Reese Witherspoon — and among the others is an ambitious reboot of the iconic bloodsucker Lestat from Anne Rice’s<i> Interview With The Vampire</i>. Scripted by Lee Patterson and godfathered creatively by Alex Kurtzman & Bob Orci, Grazer and Rice and her son Christopher, they have a script they all like, and are in talks with Universal to make <i>The Body Thief</i>. That is the fourth book in Rice’s series, a tale that finds Lestat bored with immortality. He switches bodies with a human for 24 hours, and after relishing the feeling of emotions, conscience and morality, he discovers his trading partner is a psycho doing awful things, and who won’t give back Lestat’s immortal body. “It seemed the best way to relaunch the franchise, because Lestat is such a larger than life vampire than the one who started the mythology,” said Imagine co-president of production Erica Huggins.<br />* <a href="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/darktower_20110513200815_20110718230646__130516134710.jpg" rel="nofollow"><img alt="" height="274" src="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/darktower_20110513200815_20110718230646__130516134710.jpg" title="darktower_20110513200815_20110718230646" width="184" /></a>After getting rejected by two studios on an ambitious multi-platform treatment of Stephen King’s seminal novel series <i>The Dark Tower</i>, Grazer, Howard, Akiva Goldsman and King streamlined their original ambition to adapt nine volumes into three features and two limited-run TV series. Now, Media Rights Capital is committed to make a single movie with Russell Crowe as the gunslinger Roland Deschain, with more movies coming if the first gets results. This isn’t set in stone, as Grazer tells me that he has just been approached by a Silicon Valley investor willing to finance <i>Dark Tower</i> as originally constructed, Now it’s a matter of deciding what path to take.<br />Catalysts for all this activity are Roth, Huggins and Imagine president Michael Rosenberg, and the array of backers and formats have prompted Grazer and Howard to refer to their company as “Imagine 2.0.” Like many vets, they’ve had to remake themselves to adjust to a world where overhead deals are drying up at studios that make fewer movies. But they’ve also quickly discovered that you can get a lot more done, faster, if you become more entrepreneurial and take advantage of all the funding and distribution opportunities in an age where digital is viable, global box office is more important than ever, and where you can throw a rock on the Croisette and hit a billionaire looking to back projects. There’s no need to rely on one studio when there are so many more backers who can say yes.<br /><a href="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/splash__130516134808.jpg" rel="nofollow"><img alt="" height="187" src="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/splash__130516134808.jpg" title="splash" width="270" /></a>When I ask Grazer and Howard if it was initially disorienting to have to shop harder, each sounded more energized than cowed. “I never felt we had it easy, and I’ve always viewed the first ‘no’ as my starting point,” Grazer said. “That goes back to our first film, <i>Splash</i>, when everybody said no to a mermaid. We’ve been hearing it all our lives, but since this is about getting your movies made, I’ve never taken ‘no’ personally. To me, that simply tests the strength of the project you want to make.” Howard said they’ve always tried to internally self-scrutinized projects before taking them to Universal, but added that “having to put in extra effort defending your projects to these potential partners is demanded by the current economy of the business, and it’s not a bad thing. To pretend these things don’t apply to us would be smug and short-sighted.”<br />Being changeable extends to that Writers Lab program. While it elicited promising scripts from the nine writers in the program, Howard and Karen Kehela Sherwood (the longtime Imagine exec who ran it) will improve the model next time around. Having grown up in TV, Howard long wanted to try a collaborative work-shopping system that could help alleviate writer’s block and the solitary prison that surrounds screenwriters by incorporating a free-flowing exchange of ideas from writers working on their own scripts. It’s as promising as he thought it could be, but it will be done different next time. “We learned a lot in our rookie season, but our batting average can be higher, and we probably developed too many comedies when we are looking to international financing to set these movies up. This was fun and exciting, and it validated my feeling that writers could flourish from this environment, and still retain that singular voice. “<br />Imagine has hardly stepped away from the big-ticket feature, and has numerous ones that are ready to go at Universal.<br />* <a href="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/jz__130516134945.jpg" rel="nofollow"><img alt="" height="183" src="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/jz__130516134945.jpg" title="jz" width="275" /></a>That includes <i>Made In America</i>, a film that Howard shot for Imagine and Participant Media, as Jay-Z last year curated the Budweiser Made In America music festival on his home turf in Philadelphia; there is <i>James Brown</i>, a film on the Godfather Of Soul that will shoot late this summer with <i>The Help</i>’s Tate Taylor directing. Grazer, Mick Jagger and the Brown estate are producing a film that will likely discover an actor to lip synch the original masters of Brown’s hits around the tale of a wild life.<br />* <a href="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/jbr__130516135045.jpg" rel="nofollow"><img alt="" height="188" src="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/jbr__130516135045.jpg" title="jbr" width="268" /></a>They’ve locked Relativity Media to back <i>The Most Wonderful Time</i>, a film that shoots in September with Jesse Nelson directing the Steven Rogers script, with Diane Keaton, Alan Arkin, and likely Annette Bening, Liam Hemsworth and Amanda Seyfried starring as members of a dysfunctional family that returns home for Christmas with secrets and enough collective drama to spark a holiday ticking time bomb.<br />* Front and center for Howard is <i>In The Heart of The Sea</i>, the story of a raging whale that became the inspiration for Melville’s Moby Dick. It then becomes a harrowing survival tale as stranded survivors of the split ship try to figure out how to stay alive in uncharted waters. Battling thirst and hunger, cannibalism is on the menu when shooting begins in September.<br /><a href="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/philb__130516135205.jpg" rel="nofollow"><img alt="" height="275" src="http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/philb__130516135205.jpg" title="philb" width="184" /></a>“It’s a very inspiring combination of narrative pulses in the whale and the survival tale that was the genesis story of one of our great novels,” Howard told me. “It works on visceral and emotional levels, and while it has always been a tremendous challenge because of the water work, technology has made this more reasonable. It’s a big bet for any company, but the technology has made it less expensive than 12 years ago when I prepped a version of <i>Sea Wolf</i>. We could never get a budget in place and we can actually do this movie for less than that budget was so long ago.”<br />After that comes a line of big projects that have been percolating awhile. At Universal, Will Smith will star in <i>Colossus</i>, based on the D.F. Jones novels that inspired the 1970 film <i>Colussus: The Forbin Project</i>; MRC put <i>The Dark Tower</i> back on track; Disney is backing a Josh Zetumer-scripted adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s<i> Graveyard Book</i> for Howard to direct and Grazer to produce with Gil Netter and Ben Browning and Michael Maher’s Start Motion Pictures; and there is the Robert Ludlum thriller <i>The Parsifal Mosaic</i>, which David Self adapted for Imagine and Captivate at Universal. There is also the Kyle Ward-scripted <i>Arabian Knights</i> being done at Universal with Blacklight Transmedia, and the Jon Krakauer true murder mystery <i>Under The Banner Of Heaven</i>, which Dustin Lance Black adapted for Howard to direct, with Grazer producing along with Jason Bateman, Stephanie Davis and Krakauer for Warner Bros.<br />“When Brian and I first formed Imagine, we only dreamed it would be the kind of company that could work in all mediums,” Howard said. “The movie business isn’t going anywhere, it’ll find its footing in this new landscape. But there are so many possibilities brimming in TV and internet that while it’s challenging, it certainly has left both of us excited.”

Phil Ivey Accused of Cheating Casino; Poker Star Denied Winnings: <br />A major casino operator is accusing Phil Ivey, one of the world's top poker players and gamblers in general, of cheating at baccarat in the UK last summer.<br />As a result, they're refusing to pay him $12 million in winnings.<br /><div style="margin: 0 auto 10px; max-width: 500px; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/gallery/phil-ivey-photo/"><img alt="Phil Ivey Photo" src="http://images.thehollywoodgossip.com/iu/t_xlarge_l/v1364527485/phil-ivey-photo.jpg" /></a></div><br />The Phil Ivey cheating scandal case has rocked the gaming world by pitting one of its most charismatic young stars against a major resort and casino operator.<br />The game in question took place on August 20-21 at Crockfords, one of London's oldest, most respected casinos, and has escalated this week.<br />The long-simmering dispute has now gone fully public as Phil Ivey filed a legal claim against the Genting Group in London's High Court.<br /><a href="http://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a><br />His lawyers said the casino refused to pay Ivey the $11.9 million he won playing baccarat at Crockfords, which is part of the Genting Group.<br />The casino responded in court Tuesday by accusing Ivey of cheating, saying his winnings were invalid because they were "based upon illegal acts."<br />On Wednesday, Ivey issued a statement denying any misconduct.<br />"The fact that I have issued a lawsuit in the face of what they are alleging says everything about how comfortable I am with my conduct and the validity of my win," he said.<br />The 37-year-old "Tiger Woods of Poker" added, "Any allegations of wrongdoing by Crockfords are denied by me in the very strongest of terms."<br />The casino group said in the court papers that Ivey's "illegal acts" void his claimed winnings. It said he was able to have a "significant advantage."<br />The group claims Ivey knew whether cards being dealt in the baccarat hands would be a powerful or weak card, allowing him to place his bets accordingly.<br />It's a somewhat confusing game, but Punto Banco Baccarat is played with six or eight decks of cards placed in what is called a dealing "shoe."<br />The goal in each hand, which consists of two or three cards, is to get closest to nine - the best first cards are a 7, 8 or 9 since a 10 or a picture card counts as zero.<br />Players can bet that they will win, the bank will win, or the hand will be a tie.<br />The court papers say that Ivey and his accomplice, after some trial and error, found a "shoe" that contained decks of cards with an asymmetrical design.<br />They were then able to convince the dealer, after cards were revealed, to turn the card either sideways or end over end.<br />The staff was not suspicious because the accomplice, who spoke with the dealers, acted like she was superstitious and just changing the way the cards lay for good luck.<br />The effect in Ivey's favor, allegedly was that the dealer inadvertently sorted the cards so that 7, 8 and 9 cards were distinguishable from others.<br />Ivey then sustained his success, the casino says, by asking that the cards be shuffled automatically by a machine, which meant their arrangement was not altered as the game progressed.<br />You buying it? Who needs 'em when you've got real, live, handicapped people!<br />Some rich N.Y.C. moms are reportedly hiring a motorized, scooter-bound guide to pose as a family member so their families can cut Disney World lines.<br /><div style="margin: 0 auto 10px; max-width: 520px; text-align: center;"><br /><img alt="Disney Pic" src="http://images.thehollywoodgossip.com/iu/t_xlarge_l/v1368699318/attachment/disney-pic.jpg" /></div><br />Almost more amazing than the fact that someone would pay for this?<br />A Florida tourism company actually offering it as part of its services.<br />Families who book trips through Dream Tours in Florida are offered "quality based, memorable, affordable vacations, to people with special needs."<br /><a href="http://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a><br />Whether anyone with special needs uses it is another story.<br />The Disney guide charges $130 an hour, or $1,040 for an eight-hour day, says a Manhattan mom who claims she hired a tour guide using a motorized scooter.<br />"You can’t go to Disney without a tour concierge," she said.<br />"This is how the 1 percent does Disney.”<br />The mom said a guide on a motorized scooter escorted her, her husband and their sons around the park and were able to immediately go onto rides.<br />Others, meanwhile, waited for hours.<br />The rub, of course, is that Disney allows each guest in a wheelchair or motorized scooter to bring up to six guests to a “more convenient entrance.”<br />The New York mother indicated that Jacie Christiano, who works at Dream Tours and is the girlfriend of the owner, Ryan Clement, was the family's guide.<br />Clement told the <i>N.Y. Post</i> that Christiano doesn't misuse her disability to bypass lines and says that she actually has an auto-immune disorder.<br />Right. And Amy's Baking Company was hacked.

China is taking its penchant for piracy to new levels.<br />
A ring of underground workshops producing millions of counterfeit, brand-name condoms was busted by police in the Asian nation this week.<br />
Fake Durex, Contex, Jissbon and other brand-name prophylactics were apparently being produced - up to 4.69 million of them, officials say.<br />

The floor was piled high with the contraceptives, and according to police, and the stench of the cheap oil lubricants was described as nauseating.<br />

The racket was exposed when a policeman noticed that a store on Taobao (dot) com, China's popular online shopping site, was selling ridiculously low-priced condoms.<br />
He bought a few to test, and they proved to be fakes.<br />
The police then traced the fake products from the online store to a network of underground workshops. A total of 37 arrests have been made so far.<br />
One of the ring's two bosses, surnamed Liu, reportedly started his business last December, buying raw latex from a factory in Hebei, then adding cheap lubricants.<br />
Packaging his counterfeit condoms in bags and boxes bearing well-known brand names, he cranked out about 20,000 fake, dirt-cheap rubbers per day.<br />
His retail price? About 16 cents each.<br />
Liu said condoms produced in his workshops were mostly sold on the internet, and through small vendors, supermarkets, pharmacies and rural sex toy stores.<br />
About a month ago, Britain's <i>Guardian</i> reported that Ghana was facing a "major public health issue" after a million of the condoms turned up there.

Despite all of the obstacles, no one is disputing the unbridled love and affection Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton still have for one another.<br />
